Leaf Fat rendered into Tallow (another name for its purified state), is an excellent source of vitamins B6, B12 & K, iron, riboflavin, and potassium just to name some. Leaf Fat is rich in monounsaturated fat and has Conjugated Linoleic Acid (CLA) which is proven to be both a fat burning-muscle leaning and a cancer-reducing agent. Our Leaf-Fat has 300-500% more CLA over corn-fed cows. Leaf fat lies around the kidney, resulting in many health benefits. Leaf fat is an off-white, cream color. After rendered, it is heat stable which means it holds a very high smoke point. This is great for sautéing vegetables or even baking.
