Smoked Bone-In Ham with Maple BBQ Glaze

Ingredients
- 7 lb Pederson's Smoked Heritage Bone-In Ham
- 1/3 cup sweet BBQ rub (such as Lane’s BBQ Sweet Heat)
- 1 cup chicken stock
- 1/2 cup pure maple syrup (like Crown Maple), divided
- 4 tbsp smoked sea salt butter (like Banner Butter)
- 1/2 cup BBQ sauce (such as Lane’s BBQ Kinda Sweet)

Instructions
- Prep the ham: Pat the ham dry with paper towels. Coat all sides evenly with BBQ rub and let sit at room temperature for 30 minutes while your smoker comes to temp.
- Smoke it: Preheat smoker to 225°F. Place ham directly on the grates and smoke until internal temperature reaches 110°F (about 1.5–2 hours).
- Braise: Transfer ham to a disposable aluminum pan. Pour in the chicken stock and 1/4 cup of maple syrup. Cover tightly with foil.
- Continue cooking: Return to the smoker and cook until internal temperature reaches 140°F (another 1.5–2 hours).
- Glaze: In a bowl, mix together the smoked sea salt butter, remaining 1/4 cup maple syrup, and BBQ sauce. Uncover the ham and brush generously with the glaze.
- Finish on smoker: Place ham back on smoker uncovered and cook for 5–10 minutes, or until the glaze becomes tacky and caramelized.
- Rest and serve: Let the ham rest for 10–15 minutes before slicing. Enjoy!
